MONAHANS Minor quake shakes West Texas Parts of rural West Texas have been shaken by a minor earthquake. The U.S. Geological Survey said the 3.2 magnitude quake struck at 3:43 p.m. Tuesday. The quake was centered 19 miles south-southwest of the town of Monahans. The area is about 47 miles southwest of Odessa. A message left with the Ward County sheriff’s office in Monahans wasn’t immediately returned Wednesday.
