QUITMAN, Texas — Turns out, what has been described as Joseph Lewis Miller’s model life as a fugitive in Mineola, Texas, had one major slip up. But it never resulted in Miller’s upstanding alias of Roy Eubanks being blown and him being brought to account for homicide charges in a 1981 fatal shooting in Harrisburg.Joseph Miller, 78 Miller as Eubanks was arrested and booked at the Wood County Jail on aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges on Aug. 27, 1988, according to an arrest report from the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, produced after a written records request made by PennLive.
