Authorities say the mayor of a South Texas city has been arrested on multiple drug charges. Refugio County Sheriff Robert Bolcik told the Victoria Advocate (http://bit.ly/1MfSWHe ) that Refugio Mayor Joey Heard was taken into custody on charges that include felony possession of a prohibited substance. Bolcik said Heard posted bond Saturday after being arrested a day earlier. The city's police chief, Andy Lopez Jr., confirmed the arrest but declined further comment. A woman who answered the phone at a listing for Heard did not wish to comment.
